Description
Eliminate your leaky control valve and enhance the feel of your steering with this modern quick ratio power steering conversion for 1962-66 Nova models. This conversion set features a remanufactured modern integral power steering gear box which has be en heavily modified for direct bolt-on installation on the Nova's factory mounting location and clears the stock steering linkage without interference or the need to modify the frame or shock tower. The integral power steering gear box provides a true modern power steering feel, feedback and a quick 16:1 ratio.
The factory column must be shortened to clear the power steering box. Models with factory power steering will require either a drag link adapter or a manual steering center link. For a mo re direct bolt-on installation, we recommend ordering the steering column shaft with a vibration isolator (part number 990041) which is designed for this application.
Important: For use with floor shift applications only. To use a steering column with a column shift you will have to eliminate all of the parts pertaining to the column shifter and would have to change to a floor shifter. This conversion is intended for use with a stock column.
