The brass elbow that the oil pressure sending unit screws into on the oil filter housing. If your car has factory ralley gauges this elbow is there so the sending unit does not hit the firewall. If you are adding gauges you have to have this elbow to put the sender in the right spot so the gauge wire will reach the unit.
