Description

A neutral safety switch allows current to pass from the ignition switch to the starter when the lever is placed in the P or N position or the clutch is depressed. Located on the lower steering column or the floor shifter of automatic transmission vehicles and behind the clutch pedal of manual transmission vehicles.

The neutral safety switch is often forgotten when the vehicle does not start and is often the culprit when all other possible starter components have been replaced.
